Architect Robert A.M. Stern designed this as a tribute to the relaxed elegance of the seaside resorts of New England at the turn of the 20th century. Located on the southern side of Lake Disney, Disney's Newport Bay Club recreates the maritime atmosphere of a sailing club: a port, a large veranda, slated roofs, awnings and pergolas.
