Jaws:
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, Jaws strikes with a vengeance. One of the top movie blockbuster thrillers in history, Jaws kept millions of beach-goers out of the water and in theaters. Now, the Great White is back with a ferocious fury never before seen. The incredibly realistic, multi-sensory ride adventure Jaws reawakens guests' most primal fears and excites the imagination to new heights by recreating the spine-tingling thrills of Steven Spielberg's blockbuster movie. Three tons of sheer terror, Jaws infiltrates the senses and shocks the emotions.

Summary Still fun

Reviewer's Comments

Being a big fan of the movie really doesn't matter when going on the actual ride. Fans only can enjoy a few minor nuiances mixed in with the rest of the experience, but mainly, Jaws caters to everyone. Kids will enjoy it, but the really young ones might be a bit scared. Adults will enjoy the corny television station playing on line as you wait to go on the actual ride. Something for everyone. Usually, the tour guides are top-notch, and only once did one not really make the experience fun for me. The more original they are, the better the overall fun factor you will have. The ride is a decent length, especially with many rides becoming very short with the coming years, and the special effects are still decent, even in today's standards. The wait usually isn't that long, and my only real complaint is that some of the fire effects are simply too hot. Its not fun when you ride a ride in 100 degree temperatures, and then huge fireballs explode next to you, pushing that temperature up a lot. Still, though, one of the best Universal has to offer. Excellent.

Summary Over rated!

Reviewer's Comments

Didn't rate this one too highly! The ride itself is a bit lame with the only 'thrill' being the fire and explosions. These were unnecessarily fierce and scared the pants off my 9 year old. She rode everything else including Hulk with no problems. but came off Jaws sobbing! It wasn't the shark that scared her it was the searing heat from the fire on the water!

Summary Expected more.

Reviewer's Comments

This was not what I had expected. The shark was VERY fake lookin, but fooled 7 yr old. The only cool thing was the fire and explosions, and those little bumps under the boat. We heard GREAT things before we went, but ended up figurin out it is overrated!

Summary Family split on this one

Reviewer's Comments

Our teenagers love it, but we could pass on this. If you don't have Express pass will be in for a long wait, you know the story, so no real surprises. The sharks are pretty fake looking, but it is a fun ride if you get a good captain. So try once anyway.

Summary dated and overrated

Reviewer's Comments

This one was a bit disappointing after hearing so much about it. The polyurethane shark and bad acting from the "tour guide" got more of a chuckle out of me. Luckily, I went in January so the queue line was non-existent (five minute wait). Still, children will enjoy this and it may frighten young kids. Skip it if the line is too long unless you have children or you its on your must-see list.

Summary 1 Word: Terrible!

Reviewer's Comments

Just about the worst ride in the park. I was 16 at the time, my brother 22, and we walked off completely dissapointed. The jokes were stale, the ride had boring scenary, and the shark blowing up left hot pieces of weird black rubber on my brother and I. not worth the half hour wait.
