Summary Quirky, but still fun

Reviewer's Comments

Some people might say I am a little lenient on my reviews. I haven't given less than a 3 on anything (I think). That won't change, at least not yet. Disney is simply perfect in my eyes. On to the review. Though it really doesn't fit with the theme of the Animal Kingdom (actually, the entire area it is in doesn't go) it maintains a good level of quirkiness. It has its own "soul", and uses that to make a darn good ride. To put it simply, this is a short, but great coaster. Not your usual coaster either. Actually, it differs from anything that I have ever been on (except a ride in California Adventures) and is a welcome breath of fresh air. Remaining just exciting enough, but not too scary and perfect for kids (but maybe not for an adult with a bad back)Primeval Whirl whips you around a short track, making you slam into the wall of the car. But it's fun. And, the theme is corny enough to make the ride even better. Plus, it pokes fun at itself, which is always welcomed. It should be welcomed to the Disney family, because although it differs from the norm, different is better. Excellent.

Summary Good old fun!

Reviewer's Comments

This coaster puts a new spin on the old carnival-style ones. The themeing is tacky, but the ride is good.

Summary DiZzY DrOpS

Reviewer's Comments

This is a very good ride overall. this ride is a mixture of the waltzers and big thunder mountain. it is quite a bumpy and uncomfortable ride, n u shake about quite abit. also the ride is in the wrong park, "animal kingdom", "primeval whirl" has nothing to do with animals as far as i know, Disney should think of an animal related rollercoaster to go in this park, so it can keep the theme of animals.

Summary Good times!

Reviewer's Comments

First off, this does fit in with the general theming in Animal Kingdom. It's in Dinoland USA...a portion of the park thats been there since the beginning. The ride sets itself apart from a standard wild-mouse type coaster by the spinning of the car. This can be quite jarring and violent at times. The cars are divided into two adjacent seating areas, each sitting two people. Do not ride in one of these seating areas alone if you can avoid it. Trust me, you'll appreciate this advice. Or at least your back will. All in all a must-see at a park lacking in must-sees. The DinoRama midway completes the theming. I loved the whole area.

Summary Good fun!

Reviewer's Comments

This a great attraction. It is a roller coaster that jerks you around turns and begins spinning throughout half of the ride. There are a few drops as well. Some kids may be to small to ride.

Summary Whirl & Hurl!

Reviewer's Comments

Depending upon load distribution, this can be VERY nauseating to those with weak stomachs. I can take anything, and this one had the highest queeziness factor of any of the WDW rides - even worse than Mission: Space! Maybe it was the unbalanced load when I rode (Adult and Child on one side - just myself on the other), but we spun the whole ride and it just got faster the further we went. I thought it was great, but the Father/Son that rode with me were rather green at the end.

Not safe for anyone with a weak stomach - unless they want to whirl and hurl!

Summary Don't eat beforehand!

Reviewer's Comments

I loved the ride but it isn't for the faint of heart. It definitly has the hurl factor going for it. It won't kill you to ride it but think twice if you easily toss your cookies!

Summary not worth the wait

Reviewer's Comments

After a boring wait, we were loaded on to the ride. It's basically a roller coaster that spins around. I love roller coasters generally but this ride was jerky and uncomfortable. The worst part about this was that it broke doun with us stuck near the top. We had to wait 20 minutes in the hot sun til someone showed up to free us. We were offered the front of the line if we wanted to ride again( its a double coaster) but we passed.
