Tom Sawyer Island:
Walt Disney himself designed this out-of-the-way retreat. You'll be transported by boat to Tom Sawyer Island, where there are dirt trails and creaky barrel bridges to explore, even fun spots like Harper's Mill and you can poke around Injun Joe's Caves.

Summary Fun for the whole family!

Reviewer's Comments

Tom Sawyer was one of my favorite books as a child and this place brings it to life! Our family spent about 2 hours exploring the caves, play area, mill, fort and trails. This is a great place for your kids to run & play- a break from standing in line. We also had a nice quiet lunch at Aunt Polly's while we were there. Don't miss it if you have children!!!

Summary Let The Kids Go!

Reviewer's Comments

If you have very active kids, this place is for them. They can run, play, explore, etc. and won't even get lost. Taking the "bridge" is entertaining since it floats so you do rock a little if there's a lot of people on it.

If you want to get away from the crowds, then definitely go here. You're in your own little world and it's a nice retreat for the entire family.

Summary i hate it

Reviewer's Comments

I am sorry, but when i was younger I always remember hating it. Its so dumb. I hate those dumb country bears. I remember this from when I was 5 and so on, but maybe some kids like it. But i hate it I skip it everytime I go. ITS A MISSER haha

Summary OK for youngsters

Reviewer's Comments

One to visit if you have time to spare. Younger kids will love exploring and looking out from the fort, but not much there for grown-ups apart from the quaint Aunt Polly's.
Be warned also, that being "stranded" on an island means having to wait for the next raft to transport you back!

Summary Alright

Reviewer's Comments

Usually a good place to get away from the hustle of the park for a while. Hard to relax if you have young children I've noticed. I've seen parents running after their children since its difficult to keep them in eye sight.

Summary Lots of laughs

Reviewer's Comments

My husband and I had great fun on the Island, we had lunch at Aunt Polly's and it was good. We looked all around the islands and played at the Fort too.

Summary fun for kids

Reviewer's Comments

With so many people fussing that kids shouldn't play with toy guns, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have toy guns in the upper level of the fort for the kids to play with. They can actually pretend to be protecting the fort from enemies. My husband seems to enjoy this place just as much as our son. I ,however, find it a snooze.
