Summary Best part: the view

Reviewer's Comments

We stayed on their conceriege level thingy. Basically the same as my review of the villas except, as I said, the view from our room was amazing! I would sit outside and watch illuminations at EPCOT every night! My daddy said it wasn't worth it though for the extra money we paid. Besides these really yummy cheesecake things, we didn't see much advantage to the conceriege level.

Summary Excellent

Reviewer's Comments

Our friends gaves us 5 days at the Boardwalk for our wedding gift. We went in January. It was THEE most relaxing vacation I've ever had at a busy resort such as Disney World. The only little thing is the walk to the room was long but they make even that pleasant with soothing colors and beautiful details. Who cares it gives you more time to walk off all the absolutely wonderful food you've been eating all day. If that all wasn't great enough try a boat cruise at Epcot to watch the fireworks. Superb!!! Have wine and cheese provided. We are going again over this Thanksgiving holiday; this will be our 2nd visit during this period. You gotta do it over these holidays. Absolutely beautiful.

Summary beautiful hotel

Reviewer's Comments

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniv. at Disney's Boardwalk. The hotel was lovely, especially the lobby. They couldn't have been kinder to us. They even put a bunch of balloons in our room with a signed picture from Mickey and Minnie. We especially enjoyed the quiet pool away from the childrens area. We have talked about making this trip again and we would stay here again.

Summary Pleasant Stay

Reviewer's Comments

Overall this resort was great. The entertainment, food choices, and location to MGM and Epcot make this place what it is. It was a bit stuffy for us though as we have two very active children. Nearer to the end of our trip (right before Christmas) there were more children. When we arrived there was a large business conference going which of course limited the guests to business professionals. Our room was more spacious than we expected! Mousekeeping went out of their way for us most days. Even brought us a coffee pot we didn't request. I think she saw the empty coffee cups we had lying around. Never felt cramped even with the crib in the middle of the room. The weather was less than ideal, so the Boardwalk entertainment was cancelled for most of the days we were there. When it was up and running, it was a lot of fun for the whole family. My daughter was able to participate in the juggling act which made her evening quite special. It was very quiet and serene in the mornings with the view of the lake. My only complaint (which I knew about when I booked, so I shouldn't really complain) is there is no food court. If it is busy there is a hot dog stand open that is good for a quick bite. All in all food choices are primarily sit down. I heard a few parents disappointed they could not get a hamburger for their kids unless they sat down. Sit down meals are not always the best choice for a very hungry theme-parked frazzled toddler. You can take a boat ride to the Dolphin to eat at their food court. It just isn't as convenient as having it right at your resort. The pool looked really fun and we were glad to see a toddler pool. As I said before, not swimming weather. The laundry facility was nice. It was busy and could have used a couple more washers. I would recommend this resort for adults. I am not saying it isn't okay for kids, it just has a different atmosphere that seems better suited for adults. The CMs were absolutely great with us in every way.

Summary Wish We had Stayed Longer

Reviewer's Comments

We could not have asked for a more beautiful resort! I could have stayed in the lobby and been happy! The standard room appeared much larger than the Beach Club or The Swan, and the balconies were large enough to fit 6 people with a table and two chairs. The colors are gorgeous with blue toile curtains, floral carpet and checked bedspreads. Every cast member went above and beyond to help us in everyway. It was very child-friendly for our two small children. They loved it. It is also a much better choice if traveling with grandparents that want to have a few days of rest from the parks. our parents stayed at the hotel one day and shopped, strolled, and ate at two different restaurants right on the grounds. With community balconies with rocking chairs, etc., there is plenty for all ages. The pool waterslide is much more fun than the beach club! The pool is not as big, but the waterslide is great, and the kiddy pool is very close to the main pool. Everything was clean and well-kept.

We will definitely be staying at this hotel again the future.

Summary Just ok

Reviewer's Comments

We stayed Boardwalk Deluxe Concierge in December 2004. All is all it was ok. The room, while large, was configured oddly making it hard to really use the space. The balcony overlooking the lagoon was too small for even one person to really enjoy. I would not pay for a lagoon view again at this hotel. The gardens are quite lovely. The concierge staff was nice and helpful. The offerings in the louge were ok, nothing outstanding and absolutely nothing plentiful. The turndown and housekeeping services were spotty and unorganized. For almost $600 per night, you really expect better.

I must add that the theming at Christmastime at this resort is quite lovely. In fact, it was one of our favorites.

The pool was fun, but not outstanding.

I did love the ability to walk to MGM and Epcot easily as I hate to wait for slow boat transportation. Bus transportation was ok. It was sometimes even faster to talk through Epcot, hop on the monorail and go to the MK. Buses are tough as they can stop at several resorts (Swan, Dolphin, Yacht and Beach).

I'd stay at the Boardwalk again, but it would definitely be garden accomodations and not concierge.

Summary Boardwalk with kids

Reviewer's Comments

We stayed at the Boardwalk in May 2005 and it was awesome. You can't beat the location - especially walking to EPCOT at night. The kids loved the pools and in particular the slides. The only negative was the walk from the room to the actual Boardwalk, it was kind of long and disjointed. The view from our Garden View room was great, you could even see part of the Eeifel Tower in EPCOT's France. In addition, you could see the fireworks from Illuminations. We also enjoyed the ability to walk to or take a boat to MGM. It was nice to avoid the buses to 2 Parks. Would stay their again without question.

Summary Boardwalk Inn Rocks!

Reviewer's Comments

We just returned from our trip to Disney. We did alot of research before we made our minds up on where to stay. We finally decided on the Boardwalk Inn. For every review we read, there was 9 excellent to 1 bad. I have to say, the bad reviews are totally out of line and must be really really unreasonible people. Our experience with the Hotel was great! We traveled with our entire family! Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle, Aunt and 10 year old Cousin and the five in our family, mom, dad and three boys ages 24, 19 and 14. Everything that we asked for we received from Disney. I requested that we all be close together and close by the elevators so Grandma and Grandpa wouldn't have to walk too far. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Our room with five of us was somehow alittle larger than the other two rooms but with 5 of us in it we definately needed the extra room. When we saw how large our room was we ordered a roll-a-way also. If you are planning on putting anyone older than 6 years old in the "little" extra bed that they have in the room, forget it, it is the size of a baby crib so an older child would be very cramped to lie in it. Mousekeeping was OK, room for improvement. The TV's in the rooms were very very small. In our room the beds were so far back from the TV it made it really difficult to see the TV. The quiet pools were just that quiet. Every night after a long day of walking around, we would all meet at the hot tub at the quiet pool around 9:00 pm so we could enjoy the fireworks from Epcot! We stayed there 7 nights and never once shared the pool or the hot tub with anyone else. The main pool is nice also but would have liked to have the bar stay open alittle later. I would greatly recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a very very nice hotel with all the extras. It cost alittle more than alot of the other hotels but in our minds it was definately worth it! The boardwalk was great and fun just to walk around at night. Everything was very close and convienent to walk to including Epcot. One night our kids decided to take the water taxi back from Epcot and we walked it and beat them back to the dock! It truely is a matter of a 10 minute beautiful walk! The other hotels in the area we also nice but one huge difference that we noticed, both the other hotels were very crowded. The Beach Clubs pool was nothing short of spectactuar but it was so crowded with kids, kids, and more kids, I gladly went back to our Hotel to enjoy the peace and quiet it provided. Our next trip to Disney will be much easier because our decision is already made as to where to stay! The Boardwalk Inn Rocks! We wouldn't want to stay any place else!
