Summary Good food and atmosphere

Reviewer's Comments

Had a great Christmas Day dinner here in 2000 - especially recommend the Strawberry Soup!

Good characterinteraction with the 'villains' that were there at the time. Not yet tried Winnie the Pooh and Friends, but will be doing so later this year.

Summary Great for Pooh lovers!

Reviewer's Comments

If you want pooh and friends, this is the one for you! The characters were continuously out, they only went in for 2 minutes at a time. Piglet sat outside on the colouring table entertaining waiting kids which was cute! The food was fantastic, strawberry soup - yum! Hot roast beef carvery was good, best choice of all the dinners. The only drawback was we had our daughters 6th birthday dinner here and they didn't really acknowledge it, apart from dumping the cake down we ordered and lighting the candles. I think the restaurant is far too big and busy, they staff don't really have time to be singing (unlike The Disneyland in paris where they make a big fuss!) Next year we'll be going somewhere more intimate. Tigger, Pooh and Eeyore all came to our table 3 times though, which is well worth it for the photo opps.

Summary Never got seated

Reviewer's Comments

This was the smudge in our beautiful vacation. We had priority seating reservations for dinner, and never got seated after waiting an hour. We were told when we checked in that it would be about 20 min. Nobody could seem to answer how many people were ahead of us, or how much longer we'd have to wait. The waiting room was full of people in the same situation. We went at a "low crowd" time of year -- Nov 10, 2002; I can't imagine what happens during the busy season. We left disappointed and hungry.
The restaurant was very elegant in appearance, although I envisioned it was going to be more "fun" looking since I read it had a "turn of the century circus theme".
On the positive side, the waiting room had a coloring table, a TV, and Piglet and Max mingled in the waiting room. I saw Pooh and Eyore in the dining room. The food LOOKED good (I took a peek at the buffet while we were waiting).
If you really want to eat here, anticipate a long wait and plan accordingly. We had missed lunched, and had late eve reservations, so it made a bad situation worse.

Summary Dinner with Cinderella

Reviewer's Comments

Dinner with Cinderella now! If you really want to meet Cinderella, and you can't get the Castle Breakfast, this is your next best alternative. HOWEVER, Cinderella and Prince Charming do NOT go table to table - they are seated just outside the restaurant dining area. You still get to meet them (sign autographs, take pictures, chat, etc), but you have leave your table for a few minutes (the line varied from very short to very long).
Other characters still come to your table - we saw Suzie and Perla (mice), and the Fairy Godmother. Rumor has it that the stepmother and stepsisters make appearances, but we didn't see them.
The food is good, but not great, and the selection is typical for most of the Disney buffets.
If Cinderella is not that important, than I would suggest Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for dinner - it has much better atmosphere and better food, along with more character interaction.

Summary Good

Reviewer's Comments

The service was okay. The FOOD WAS GREAT FOR BREAKFAST! Way better than other character breakfast (especiallt cape may cafe, Donaldbrekfastrsura ). The food, and the excuse to see the Grand Floridian is the best reasons to go.

Summary Beautiful Atmosphere

Reviewer's Comments

Lots of characters and good food can be found at this restaurant. The atmosphere is also excellent as it continues the theming found in the rest of the Grand Floridian Resort which is already magnificent. The service was pretty good, the waitress was always on hand and telling us when the characters where going to be at our table and clearing our dishes. The front reception was a little slow, but not as bad as the people below me say, I think they are exagerating

Summary Good Food

Reviewer's Comments

Went to breakfast last Tue morning...... Food was great....characters all stayed at one end of the dining room. We graciously asked the waitress to see if Pooh and friends could make it down to our end ,but to no avail. Highlight for my daughter and wife was to see Mary Poppins in the lobby.
