Worth The Money
Reviewer's Comments
Been here a few times for lunch and decided to try dinner. The wait was very short (after 7pm) and had a nice table for two.
Lunch/Dinner is buffet style with a few more added selections for dinner. For the price it's definitely worth it and for those that have kids, you can order a kids meal for them.
Never been disappointed in the food or service and will always go back whenever we visit EPCOT.

A gem
Reviewer's Comments
This place is a gem. From the moment your smiling Norwegian host or hostess seats you one knows it will be a delightful dinner. The food, buffet style, is great. The restaurant looks like a castle. The servers are so friendly and warm. This is great place!

GREAT FOOD & SERVICE
Reviewer's Comments
We've come here for lunch and dinner ever since it opened. It is definitely busier nowadays, since the word seems to be spreading that this is one of the best values in WDW. If you like a variety of seafood and venison (reindeer), you're in luck. The service is cordial and efficient. It's also one of the quietest eateries in WDW. Definitely a must do when in EPCOT.

Summary
Could have been better
Reviewer's Comments
We couldn't get reservations at any other Princess meal so we booked the Princess Storybook Dinner at the Akershus.
We had a 7pm reservation. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told "the next seating is at 7:00, please wait". So we waited....and waited.......at 7:20, I asked why we hadn't been seated yet. The waitress apologized but didn't have an answer. 10 minutes later, we were seated. I think having to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time is awful.
The Princesses come around to each table and they were wonderful. Very pleasant to the children. We took pictures and got autographs while waiting for our server. We saw Belle, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Alice in Wonderland.
Our server was also very pleasant. I think she tried hard to make our dining experience the best it could be. She explained the food and checked on us often.
The cold plate buffet was excellent. We all enjoyed tasting a little of this and a little of that. My 5 year old even found things she liked on the buffet...turkey and cheese and nice potato bread flat bread.
The main courses were a bit of a let down. Not much for children to choose. The lamb stew was fatty and the "meatloaf" was too soft for my liking.
If not for the Princess Character meal, we would not visit Akershus again. The food just didn't appeal to us enough. It was Ok, but not worth a visit unless we get a chance to see the Princesses.

Summary
poor food in a nice envir
Reviewer's Comments
My family (2 adults and 2 children) had dinner here in October 2006. It was quite an expensive meal, particularly now my son is 10 years old and had to pay adult price. The atmosphere is very nice and the princesses were lovely. My daughter had photo's with Ariel, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle (in peasant dress) and Jasmine. However, the food was poor. The waiter took our order for our entree and told us to go to the cold buffet table. We were delayed slightly due to a princess coming to our table for photo's. We collected our cold buffet, which I liked, but the children ate nothing, as it was smoked fish and strong cheeses and meat. We literally got back to our table with our buffet starter when our entrees appeared!! We sent them back to the kitchen, but when we had finished our starter and the entrees returned they were almost inedible, my pasta was sticky and the salmon very overcooked. We ate what we could, and as they were small portions my husband asked for a second entree (unofficial guide plus various reviews say this is allowed). However, we were informed that only one main course is allowed.
The desert was lovely, but again we could have eaten more!
I hate leaving a restaurant, especially when it has cost a lot of money, still feeling a little hungry. But this was the situation at this restaurant!
