Food was pretty good had some standard items with neat twist to them. Nice place to stop if staying at Poly and do not want to deal with the Ohana buffet.

Addicted!
Reviewer's Comments
I am absolutely addicted to the Asian noodle bowl at lunch. And my husband has developed a serious addiction to the Tonga Toast at breakfast. We, unfortunately, cannot afford to stay at the Poly, but we make a special trip here for a meal. (Also, if you have a hankering for a cocktail, you can order from the Tambu Lounge next door. We recommend The Backscratcher.)

A MUST FOR BREAKFAST
Reviewer's Comments
We hit this place for the Tonga French Toast. Nothing like it! We try to get here each time. Added bonus is the monorail to take to the Magic Kingdom right before it opens, plus the great scenery of the Polynesian resort. Can't say about the other food since the Tonga French Toast is the only thing we've ever ordered. We got hooked years ago (before it was called Kona Cafe), and it may be the only thing held over on the menu. If you like bananas and french toast, don't miss out!

Summary
good food - little wait
Reviewer's Comments
We took the monorail over from Magic Kingdom which was a nice ride and then only waited about 5 minutes for our priority seating. The seafood chowder is fantastic but it is pretty much the same as the lobster chowder at Coral Reef. The beef teriyaki was good, a 10 oz strip steak grilled in teriyaki sauce. My girlfriend had the shrimp and scallops and she was very pleased with that. My desert was cheesecake which was an average piece of cheesecake. My girlfriend had the kiddie ice cream cone which was really neat. It was a cone standing up on end with chocolate and vanilla ice cream surrounded by cotton candey with m&m\\\'s and other candies. Neat looking and she liked it quite a bit.

NICE PLACE
Reviewer's Comments
We went here for breakfast as a part of our dinning plan on our 8 day vaction. The food here was very good. The potatoes were very good and my husband said he really liked his french toast.
The kids also enjoyed thier meals of eggs and sausage.
There was nothing really memoriable about the wait staff to be honest i do not rememeber if it was a waiter or a waitress. However i can't really say they did anything wrong, they just did not make any impression at all.
