Summary BCV's THE BEST!!!

Reviewer's Comments

We were in room 257 (1 bedroom) it was spotless. We had a view of the road and the "EPC" of the Epcot ball. This is just a service road, it didn't bother us, there were trees and it is very well maintained. All the villas on this side of the resort have very large balconys. Had we been a bit higher we would have been able to see the fireworks better. But, the resort itself is top shelf. And the pool you can't ask for much better. A huge slide that my kids just loved and I loved the Lazy river, you could just float on a tube and go around. The lobby's are awesome! We would return in a heartbeat!!! We also loved the fact that you could walk to Epcot and take the boat to the boardwalk. Bus transportation was pretty regular!

Summary Beach Club Villas review

Reviewer's Comments

As a Disney Vacation Club member, we have stayed at several of the Disney resorts and have been extremely pleased. Then we stayed at the Beach Club Villas and experienced our first big Disney letdown. When we arrived to check in, our request for a non-smoking room was not even a consideration even though we made our reservations five months in advance. The somewhat somber desk clerk finally \'found\' a non-smoking roo, but the view was not what we had reserved either. When we arrived to our room, we immediately had to call the desk to request light bulbs for several of the lamps, as we had no lighting in our rooms. We also noticed that there were several areas in the walls that had been previously gouged out and was left with the metal corners and dry wall showing through. When we again called the front desk to request a different room, we were told that none were available; I could understand this last comment IF we were staying during a peak season, which we were not. In the future, we will be staying at any of the other resorts and far away from the Beach Club until they can resolve even the basic flaws, (an employee at The Boardwalk had stated that the Beach club was having \'problems\'). Too bad, this resort has a lot of potenial!

Summary VERY NICE

Reviewer's Comments

This hotel was so nice! We had a family of 5 and got a 2 bedroom suite it worked out very nice to get ready in the mornings! You get what u pay for. The little gift shop was nice and handy to have to go and buy a few groceries. It was very nice to go over to epcot or the boardwalk. I would recommend this to anyone VERY NICE

Summary convenient to Epcot

Reviewer's Comments

We stayed for 5 nights June '06 with a total group of 13, split between two 2-bedroom villas. We had the last two villas on the fourth floor, farthest from the elevators and directly overlooking the front circular drive. We were expecting this to be noisy (Magical Express buses, cars for check-in/out), but it never bothered us. We were also pleased to discover we could run up and down the stairwell directly next to our doors and be just across the street from the bus stop or the BC front entrance.

My villa was fine with the exception of a clicking smoke detector and inoperable jacuzzi jets. Maintenance came at 10pm one night to try to fix these, but I was more inclined to say "forget it" at that point. The villa across the hall smelled horribly (like a dead animal!) in the kitchen area, but the relative opened the balcony doors and aired it out, and didn't seem too bothered. Glad it wasn't me.

Didn't try the villa pool; being across from the entrance, it was easier to go to Stormalong Bay, which was nice. Once you find the "shortcut" path, not a bad walk to Epcot and its wonderful restaurants -- makes up for the slim options at the Beach Club. Covered paths to main BC building in case of rain.

Had groceries delivered first day, and concierge kept them cold. Long wait for character breakfast at Cape May, even with ADR. Nice shop for snacks, use your snack credits on DDP for bread, milk, donuts. Discovered lunch options there, huge yummy sandwiches, only on the last day.

Liked the resort, but with small children (5&7), next time we've got reservations on the monorail at the Contemporary.
