The Ultimate
Reviewer's Comments
As soon as you enter the lobby you realise that this resort is the height of luxury and elegance. A fabulous location, with excellent and varied dining opportunities, in addition to being located on the monorail loop one stop from the Magic Kingdom...what more could anyone ask for?

Wonderful Fairytale
Reviewer's Comments
If you never get to stay at the Grand Floridian, you must at least walk through. It is a perfect Fairytale hotel. What a wonderful view of Cinderella Caslte. HEy, the Monorail will even pick you up outside of the hotel. You also have a great view of the Seven Seas Lagoon.
If you would like there is also the Wedding Pavillion right next door. They love to have visitors.

Yep, Quite Grand :P
Reviewer's Comments
See, now when I stayed at The Plaza in NYC, I was expecting something like the Grand Floridian. Erm, not. No hotel can live up to this place. And the ice cream, omg, lol.

Summary
It's a Grand Adventure
Reviewer's Comments
7 Nights during October 2003
We enjoyed a visit at the Grand Floridian. Excellent service, resturants, transporation, and atmosphere. This is one of the top-tier resort of WDW. Excellent location: 4 minute monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom, 4-8 minute ride back using the Yacht, 15 minute walk to Polynesian Village. Two pools, one with a water fall and slide, both with pool side service. We have stayed at other Monorail WDW resorts and this is the best of the three and I will have to compare the Wilderness Lodge when they run the monorail system over to it in the near future.
Our daughter also enjoyed the 1900 Park Fare character dinner, Wonderland Tea Party, Afternoon Tea, nightly water/light pagent, fireworks from the dock, riding the yacht, and seeing the Cinderella Castle from the resort.

Summary
It really is Grand.
Reviewer's Comments
This resort is pure luxury, if you can afford it. its really pricey and dont even think about gett a special view for more money because its not worth it, i mean your not going to be spending much time looking out a window, are you? still its a beautiful resort and the monoraio is a big plus and if your in the 7th building you can have like pastries and cookies and stuff in the lobby. I also like the chicken strips in the fast food arcade place. oh and the lobby is the best lobby i have ever seen, beautifully decorated. the band is also wonderful.

One Of The Best
Reviewer's Comments
After a lifetime of travling, it is real pleasure to stay at a hotel that is run as well as the Grand Floridian. While the rates are upscale, so is the service and the facilities.
Best vacation in many years.

Summary
Poor Security
Reviewer's Comments
Our visit to this lovely hotel was clouded by the theft of my diamond ring from my personal belongings in my hotel room. WDW Security showed little interest in pursuing an investigation. I got the Orange County Sheriff's Dept involved and the detective on the case has been most conscientious ... without much help from WDW Security. Another similar incident happened in the hotel around the same time... money and jewelry. There are many employees who have access to the hotel rooms, so beware and be careful!
