Great place to stay!!
Reviewer's Comments
Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort is a very nice place to stay, especially if you like the great outdoors. The transportaion is great. You can get to the Magic Kingdom by boat and buses take you everywhere you want to go. The only bad part is that the pools could be a little better. Overall it is the best camproung in the world!!!!!!!!!!!

Fort Wilderness Cabins
Reviewer's Comments
The cabins are overall great, especially with small children. The private bedroom allows for them to take an undisturbed nap. The space is bigger than an average hotel room and the price is great compared with the other Home Away From Home resorts. The only fault is the complicated and sometimes unreliable transportation within the resort. If you rent a car or have your own, getting around Walt Disney World is much easier.

Summary
Will not be disappointed
Reviewer's Comments
When people ask me how WDW was my response is, "It was fun, but were we stayed was great." Staying here was icing on the cake for my trip. The landscaping was clean and there were nicely paved roads (I was expecting dirt roads since it was a campground) - it was a nice surprise! There was so much to do there that we are going to plan another trip to Florida just to stay there and not go to the parks. My 5 1/2 year old had so much fun roasting marshmallows with Chip & Dale, watching movies outside on a big screen, and going to the petting zoo (the peacocks were her favorite). I found the bus transportation easy and fast and it was nice to have an extra option of taking a ferry over to Magic Kingdom. There were 2 trading posts (general stores) on site which were both reasonably priced. I expected that the price of food there would be outrageous, but it was not. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Definitely take some time look at everything they have to offer because staying here was just as fun as being inside one of the 4 major parks. This was our first trip to Florida, but we cannot wait to go back to stay at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground!

Camping at the Fort
Reviewer's Comments
My husband, our daughter and I stayed there from dec 30 - jan 5 of this year. We loved it there. We can't wait to go back.(next time it will be in the warmer months)LOL We were really disappointed to find out that the petting farm is no longer there and has not been there for some time. I wish that disney would update that bit of info on their website. Because our daughter and us as well, were upset by this false advertisment. They also could improve the internal bus system. We were on the yellow route. we would be waiting at either the outpost/settlement bus stops and at least 2 orange and 2 purples would come and go before ours would show up.
Other then those 2 issues everything was excellent.

Reviewer's Comments
Everything was going good until we had to wash our swimsuits in the laundramat .Someone took 3 swimsuits out of the washers while we were sitting in front of the building. It really put a ***per on our vacation with two granddaughters and their parents. We had stayed there before with no problems. It really was very upsetting.
