Summary
Fantastic!
Reviewer's Comments
We normally stay budget (All Stars), but treated ourselves (family of 3) to 4 nights to do the whole Universal thing.
Wow! What a fantastic place this is. The theming is amazing and everywhere is really beautiful and exotic.
The rooms, although not huge, are plenty big enough; the beds are really comfy and the bathroom well-equipped. The pool is vast, with plenty of loungers.
All of the staff treated us like we were their special guests and nothing was too much trouble. Food was expensive, but City Walk and the parks are just a few minutes walk or free water-taxi away.
You get all day Express Pass at the parks by showing your room card, which is a great perk at busy times.
Would highly recommend - try and get the 50% off Entertainment Book Rate.

Summary
Great pool area
Reviewer's Comments
With its location next to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, the Royal Pacific Resort is ideally placed for rollercoaster fans. Plus guests receive free 'Express Passes' that can be used for almost all rides.
The rooms were fine, with some nice touches but the bathroom area is small for a family of 4 - only one basin, but at least it is separate to the toilet/bath/shower.
We were initally given a room at the farthest point from the walk to the parks - with a view of the overpass and the multi-storey car park. We spent one night there but then I went and complained (pointing out that we were Loews cardholders and should have been allocated an upgrade if available).
The receptionist couldn't have been more - accommodating. We were asked to pack our bags and leave them just inside our hotel room door. When we returned from the park, our bags had been moved to a new room - an upgrade with a pool view.
The pool there is fantastic - with a 'ship' style waterplay area and zero entry beach. We were very impressed with this. However, drinks and food are quite expensive and Brits have to be prepared for the automatic gratuity that is added on.
