Incredible resort!
Reviewer's Comments
This is a fantastic resort! The pool is amazing--sand bottom pool for young ones, lazy river, shipwreck slide--all set in an absolutely beautiful setting. This resort has the best pool by far! The New England Clambake is well worth the money. Every time we come back to Disney we make sure to stop at Beach Club for the clambake. It has everything--clams, shrimp, mussels, beef tips, chicken plus much more--and the desserts!!! You can also walk to Epcot--takes only a few minutes. It's hard to beat this resort!

Memorable experience
Reviewer's Comments
We recently stayed at the Yacht Club Concierge level and had a wonderful experience. The Cast Members were so helpful and outgoing. Very positive, informative and welcoming. The room was lovely. So clean and a great view! We loved the location, finding the resort very relaxing and never had any problem with transportation. We enjoyed the food in the lounge, as well as our dinner at the steakhouse. Being very seasoned and flexible travelers, I feel if you are positive and treat people well, you always get the same in return. This was certainly the case at the Yacht Club. Wonderful resort and exceptional Cast Members! Thanks once again to Disney for a great vacation.

Summary
No to Yacht Club!!!
Reviewer's Comments
Family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids:16,13,10), first visit to Yacht Club, Spring Break, 4/1-8/04.
I researched a long time before choosing this resort for our third family visit to Disney World. We stayed on the fifth floor, room 5232. Although the concierge helped set up some meals which saved lots of phone time and the lounge area was great for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day, we will not be back nor would I recommend this resort. We chose it because we knew our teens could use the 5th floor lounge to calm their constant hunger, and the close proximity to Epcot and I thought our teens would like the pool, that was supposed to be so great. Wrong. The pool is not conducive for adult swimming and had way too many little kids for our teens to enjoy it. The deep section isn’t well marked and is hard to find, the pool is so big is comes across as unorganized. Too difficult to obtain lounge chairs, expect long lines at Beaches and Cream, which is too small to handle the large number of guests from these two huge resorts. Our room view was of the roofs, parking lots, and the giant air conditioners, complete with their noise. We asked to be moved after the first night but the resort was booked up and they were unable to accommodate us. Upon returning to our cleaned room our second day, I grabbed one of the turn-over glasses (signaling a clean glass) near the sink, and discovered a extremely dirty, finger printed glass. I took it to one of the concierge the next morning, and although she was very apologetic, I never felt comfortable about the cleanliness the rest of our stay. Don’t get me wrong, the cleaning staff are unsung heroes. I found the resort atmosphere and staff cold and missing that Disney Magic feeling. We might as well have been at a Sheraton. Transportation can be dicey. We walked to Epcot rather than taking the boat to save time. Busing to and from the Magic Kingdom is time consuming. The Yacht Club doesn’t have its own buses; there are always stops at the Beach Club, the Swan and Dolphin, the Boardwalk. The boat to MGM makes stops, too. We were paying top dollar and could have stayed at a cheaper Disney resort to deal with this type of shared transportation. Next time, we’ll go back to a monorail resort.
Sincerely, Terri

Love the Yacht Club!
Reviewer's Comments
After seeing the previous review, I was prompted to comment on our vacation stay at the Yacht Club. We stayed the first week in May. We had a totally different experience. It was terrific! After years of travel to Disney World, we know to avoid Spring Break. The pool was not at all crowded with plenty of beach chairs, and not at all overun with small children. Our college kids love the pool and find it very easy swimming. The resort does have another "quiet pool", which is open 24 hours if I'm not mistaken. It's a more conventional pool, not themed, but never crowded. But the main pool is very much worth the stay for families. We had an extremely clean room, had excellent food in the lounge, a beautiful waterview and wonderful Cast Members. The Concierge staff is outstanding! We had great luck with the transportation, never waiting more than 10 minutes for the boat or bus. The time of year that you visit, makes all the difference. My advice, visit early January, first part of May, September and October, the first week in November and the first week in December. Walt Disney World is beautiful during the holidays! During these times you will find smaller crowds and really be able to enjoy the resorts and parks. We have stayed at most of the resorts during the years, including the Grand Floridian, but the Yacht Club is still our favorite. We look forward to many more stays at this wonderful resort!

No thanks! Overrated!
Reviewer's Comments
I think it is safe to say that I will never step foot in this resort ever again. It's snobby and has a foot up it's ass! You have to be ****ting 1000 dollar bills if you want the service to treat you with any ounce of respect. My family and I aren't the type to wear polo shirts and all that golfing wear to a resort our entire vacation. When we would walk around, we would wear disney clothes, hence Disney World. Everyone would just stare at us. I don't understand, I thought we were at Disney World, not golfing in Palm Springs! The food was ridiculously priced! I spent 20.00 on half a sandwhich and a teeny bowl of soup. Are they mad? It wasn't even that good! I wanted to get out of there after one day. I can't stand snooby people. The hotel itself was empty. The theme was horrible. The resort wasn't warm nor welcoming. If I ever stepped foot in this resort again, it would be too soon. In fact, it's overrated enough to make a person want to projectile vomit everywhere!

We stayed from May 1st till 16th 2004 and had a wonderful holiday.
The staff really looked after us well, not allways an easy thing to do when you've got a wheelchair bound wife. The room was immaculate and we had a lake view. The only down side was a very soft mattress. My wife is a very fussy eater but we allways managed to find something that she liked.
In all I now know why Johnny Depp likes this hotel, its central location and great service make it a must-stay.

Beautiful Hotel
Reviewer's Comments
We stayed at this hotel with our 6 year old daughter last September. The hotel itself is beautiful and the pool is to die for. We are Disney regulars and have stayed at many of the hotels. The staff is exceptional, some of the best service I've ever seen. The only thing that the hotel was lacking was food choices. The only place to grab a quick bite to eat was at Beaches and Cream while the soda shop was great by the 9th night I couldn't take another burger or shake. The soda shop is also very small and at peak times there can be a wait. If they added some sort of food court that operated early morning to late night the hotel would be perfect. It was very expensive. Great if you have the money to throw away but if not there is no reason to splurge on this hotel. The amount of time we spent here did not offset the price. Proximity to Epcot is wonderful. We just walked out the door and we were there. That was probably the best part other than the pool.
